For our second line of Notabag+Artists we are thrilled to introduce you to XOOOOX.
The Berlin based artist, whose work has been exhibited in galleries across the world, is also well known for his street art that can be mainly found in Germany. In fact, XOOOOX is regarded as the first German street artist that has come to prominence on the international art market.
Having been huge fans of XOOOOX's work for years, even during the early graffiti times, we are honored to launch the limited Notabag + XOOOOX collaboration.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
XOOOOX is regarded as one of the most exciting and innovative urban artists worldwide. Creating delicate stenciled works, paintings and installations on found objects such as wood, metal and stone, XOOOOX distinctly contrasts the glamour of fashion culture with existentialist themes such as vulnerability and transience.
The life-size stencils of professionally styled photo models form the leitmotif of the figurative studies and scrutinise the worship cult and seduction techniques of the fashion and lifestyle industry. Beguilingly beautiful, XOOOOX’s women convey a sense of melancholy and introversion and allude to the growing displeasure with the uniform and a consumption-driven hype.
